Hold Up On Haddon Hill

This was from the Yahoo! Message Board

Last nite at 9pm my wife and friend just pulled up to driveway at Prospect/Kenwyn a man with gun approached car- they set off car alarm and locked door..I ran out and told him *get the F outta here I'm calling the cops* he proceeds to point gun at me- I run in grab phone- he proceeds to bang on window of car 5 times- finally breaking glass - clicking chamber of gun while getting both purses of women- then running away to fleeing car...cops here in 3 minutes- they were gone.

Was told they were just on our block 30 minutes ago looking for same people who did same thing 4 blocks away- the cops were so pissed they just missed him/them. Am always diligent about outside street- they were awaiting cars to pull in with lookouts.

BE ON YOUR GUARD!!

Those four little dickheads hang around E. 18th & Fifth Ave.. Sometimes they sell drugs. They are really into the Thug Life. They really hate white folks, One of them shot & killed another kid on 6th Ave. in June. I saw them getting ready for work late last night, eating supper on park Ave. after hassling some white people on Fifth Ave. They wear all black so they can hide better. The oldest one is 19. The police are very familiar w/ all of them. Please be vigilant. DOJ statistics show that WHites are victims of Blacks in crimes at a pretty astounding ratio. These stats are pretty eye opening & bear examining. That ratio is even higher in Oakland.

Oakland Mayor's Race: LWV Forum Draws Oakland's Older Folks

Oakland Mayor's Race Forum first take. (Which means, there's going to be more of these posts on last night, because a lot was happening.) This just in: The Oakland Tribune's out of touch with Oakland. A number of attendees of the 450 estimated said they learned of the Oakland League Of Women Voters via "the newspaper." All of the people who made that statement were over 50 years old. Still, the forum, which attracted every candidate except Dr. Terrance Candell, was a success. The auditorium at 300 Lakeside Drive seats 380 people, so if you do the math, it was about 70 over capacity. The crowd was a happy mix of supporters of candidates and long-time observers of the Oakland political scene. The one complaint they had was there wasn't enough time to hear what the candidates were about. That wasn't because there were too many candidates, but due to the format. Either Oakland Tribune Editor Martin Reynolds or the League of Women Voter
