It you're in a car accident, what
should you do? I was in a minor fender-bender years ago, and the
first course of action I took, right on the scene, was to call the
local police to file a report.
During the communications process, the
police asked me if I was OK, and if I wanted to go to the hospital.
I said no, and that I was fine.
But after talking with two personal
injury law specialists, Graves Law Group and Robert G. Schock, I
learned that was the wrong decision. I had
a question about the car accident so I first reached out to Graves
Injury Law Group to get their feedback.
I
was told that I should have accepted the police's offer to go to the
hospital, if only to professionally determine my condition at the
time. My second call was to Robert G. Schock in Oakland, and he
agreed with with the Graves Injury Law Group.
That
advice is true, even if in something that is seemingly as small as a
slip-and-fall. Here's Mr. Schock on that subject.
So, in the future, when in an accident and you're the victim, do what the police ask of you, and also call a lawyer like the experienced pros at Graves Injury Law Group or Robert G. Schock.
Stay
tuned.
