Guy Houston was picked to be the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum JPA Executive Director by Oakland Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan and not Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid as reported before. That decision to hire Mr. Houston, the former Dublin Mayor who was sued for bilking senior citizens in a civil lawsuit, is not set in stone. It can be undone by October 17th. Reportedly Kaplan made the choice but Reid abstained. For the County of Alameda, Supervisor Scott Haggerty was not there and Nate Miley abstained. A video-blog post for Oakland Focus IFTTT

The Secret Service failing to protect President Obama (and thankfully that did not lead to harm) combined with the first case of The Ebola Virus in America is horrifying. It spells a near end to American political and social stability.
