YMCA of the East Bay's Healthy Kids Day Sees 50% Increase in Participation

The YMCA of the East Bay today announced that their April 26 Healthy Kids Day  festivities, a series of community events for kids and families at their Oakland, Richmond and Fremont/Newark locations, drew over 50% more participants this year than last.   “We are especially pleased with the increase in participants this year throughout the East Bay Y facilities.   Thanks to the efforts of all our participants and volunteers, guided by our dedicated and experienced Y staff, we amplified participation and provided a healthy, fun and educational experience for the communities,” said Robert Wilkins, President & CEO of the YMCA of the East Bay . More than 1,200 Y members and community participants celebrated Healthy Kids Day ® by participating in circuit exercise stations, family fitness classes, jumpers, a triathlon, informational health fairs and more.
