The Amazon Post Blog has a great entry that ties Amazon Watch to the doings of Steven Donziger, the lead plaintiffs lawyer master-mind behind the fraudulent lawsuit against Chevron, claiming the American Oil Company polluted Ecuador, when the real culprit was the state-run PetroEcuador oil company. The Amazon Post states: Donziger and his associates – including Amazon Watch – knowingly disseminated unsubstantiated and false accusations of environmental damage in an effort to pressure Chevron into a settlement. Amazon Watch allowed Mr. Donziger to use its name to promote his scheme, and Mr. Donziger ghostwrote Amazon Watch press releases, memos and other materials that contained inaccurate and misleading information about Chevron.
