“Keep It Oakland” Movement Aims To Help Small Independant Businesses In Oakland - Video “Keep It Oakland” is a movement that was already there but now has been accelerated by the Oakland Indie Alliance. The intent, as explained to me by Amy Hillyard, co-owner of Farley’s East Cafe in Uptown Oakland, is to support and promote The Town’s native entrepreneurs. Amy explained that the Oakland Indie Alliance hired an agency to establish the promotional campaign (it should have called Zennie62Media for help, but I digress). The T-shirt you see was created to raise funds for the non-profit. You can buy the t-shirts at Farley’s East Cafe at 33 Grand Avenue, which is the home of the “Keep It Oakland” movement. Vtrus Atonomous Drone can do that and it’s makers were at The TechCrunch 2018 August Capital Party. Johathan Lenoff, Vtrus Chief Technology Officer, explained that the drone was under development and in the prototype stage but could fly indoors in a plant, gather photos and information and then land in its base station. The base station is a thing out of 2001: A Space Odyssey. It had doors that automatically open via small servo motors and the drone lands in it much like the Space: 1999 Eagle would land on its base station on the moon in that classic TV show. Oakland Art & Soul Festival NFL Zennie62 Fans Give Oakland Raiders 2018 NFL Predictions - Video How do you think the Oakland Raiders will do with Jon Gruden at the helm of the organization for at least the 2018 NFL Season? That’s the question I asked Zennie62 on YouTube fans I met at the Oakland Art & Soul Festival on Saturday. What shocked me was one man said the Raiders would do no better than .500 or 8 and 8. Eight wins and eight losses. Of course, some, like ESPN’s Colin Cowherd, had the Raiders finishing dead last in the AFC for the 2018 NFL Season. Personally, I think the Raiders will finish at 10 Wins and 6 losses. The offense will be different and Bill Walsh-based - you can see that in the practice videos. Moreover with all of that talent on defense and under a new single gap scheme, they will be better than the six and ten of 2017. New Peet’s Coffee In Downtown Oakland Gives Zennie62 Free Pastries - Video The new Peet’s Coffee In Downtown Oakland at 1615 Broadway, is quite the meeting place for Uptown. Located right where Broadway and Telegraph Avenue meet, I’ve ran into everyone from Jesse Smith, who’s running for Mayor of Oakland, to Kenzie Smith, who’s running for the Oakland City Council District Two Seat, to Steve Snider of the Downtown Oakland Business Improvement District. It’s already a true community center. They’re also nice people. The folks who worked there had zero idea I was a media guy when they asked me if I wanted to take home some pastries! It was Saturday and I just happened to walk in after the Art & Soul Festival and wanted to upload a vlog over coffee before going over to my godparents for dinner. So, I thought of the two people who would most enjoy such a large haul outside of my Mom in Georgia. It was a very nice gesture. By the way, the coffee is good, too! Stay tuned. via IFTTT

Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty was insistent that the financial report did not show all of the monies made over the last fiscal year. Coliseum JPA Executive Director Scott McKibben said that he approached Cal Berkeley about having XFL games there. This is still an open and unresolved matter.
