Oakland's Art and Soul Festival Labor Day Weekend

Don't forget to set a day (or 3) aside this weekend for the annual Art and Soul Festival in Oakland. Between 60 national recording artists performing, to an array of authentic food from all over the globe, your time and money will be well spent. There's dancers expressing themselves from their soul through their performances, and there is plenty of games and activities for the children. Simply put there's a plethera of Art to create, view, and buy in the heart of downtown Oakland.

The festivities start August 30 - September 1, starting at noon - 6pm every day.

Hopefully this one won't be "thugged" out like last year. It's a great celebration, ruined by a small group of cretins in baggy pants.
