Oakland A's Holding Coliseum Hostage? Does Mayor Thao Even Read Coliseum Contracts & Forget AASEG?

Oakland A's Holding Coliseum Hostage? Does Mayor Thao Even Read Coliseum Contracts And Forget AASEG? Oakland District 6 Councilmember Kevin Jenkins and Oakland Mayor Thao went to the LA Times Columnist Bill Shaikin and whined and cried about how they were concerned the Oakland A's would "hold them hostage" by not developing the part of the Coliseum the Athletics Investment Group owns. Then, Councilmember Kevin Jenkins cried that his district needed development, as if it was the A's fault it did not happen. All the time, neither he nor Mayor Thao mentioned the African American Sports and Entertainment Group and it's exclusive negotiating agreement to develop the other part of the Coliseum. And neither he nor Mayor Thao mentioned that the A's had 178 days to pay $45 million, if it wanted to retain ownership of the other part of the Coliseum Property. Does anyone read anymore? The December 19th, 2019 Alameda County Board of Supervisors resolution establishing the 50 percent Coliseum land sale to the Coliseum Way Partners AKA Oakland A's also has a clause that reads the A's have now 178 days to pay $45 million to the County of Alameda, if it's relocating. But the A's could also sell the property within that period. Actually, I stand corrected and will vlog this: because the A's are still paying on the $45 million (at least there's been no news that they paid in advanced), they cannot sell the land. Since they are relocating to Las Vegas, they have 178 days from now to pay $45 million back to the County and, to repeat, because Major League Baseball granted the A's relocation. Always read documents. Stay tuned.
