Hayashi and Daly were the top two vote-getters in Tuesday's election for the seat vacated by retired Judge Kenneth Kingsbury. Hayashi finished with 43 percent of the vote, while Daly received 26 percent, according to unofficial final results. A runoff is necessary since no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote.
