OAKLAND POLICE THOUGHT WILLIAM BRATTON APRIL FOOLS JOKE WAS REAL

The blog post over at Zennie62.com called WILLIAM BRATTON TO BE NAMED OAKLAND’S POLICE CHIEF caused a stir in the Oakland Police Department.

I got a late phone call from a source who said "Many Oakland Police rank-and-file were concerned over what was going on. Your post caused quite a stir. Can you make it more clear that it was an April Fools joke? I know it was, but can you change it or take it down?"

I responded that Zennie62 policy is to generally not do take-downs unless there are extenuating circumstances in our judgement, and this did not rise to that point. However, the words FOLKS, THIS IS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE were added to the post.

Stay tuned.
