Chevron Ecuador Fraud As Steven Donziger Under House Arrest Steven Donziger, the attorney who organized the fraud against Chevron in Ecuador, is now under virtual house arrest, according to Forbes Magazine. https://ift.tt/2N4oAzM The history of the case is complex, but the quick summery is that Donziger mastermined a plot to extort billions from Chevron by creating a fake “environmental disaster” in the Ecuadorian Amazon region. Steven Donziger financed filmmaker Joe Berlinger to produce a Hollywood documentary “Crude,” The True Price of Oil, used Hollywood celebrities, including Danny Glover, Mia Farrow, Darryl Hanna, musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, and Bianca Jagger and environemental activist organizations such as AmazonWatch.
