If Las Vegas Raiders Aren't Oakland Raiders, Oakland Coliseum JPA Still Doesn't Know - Video
If Las Vegas Raiders Aren't Oakland Raiders, Oakland Coliseum JPA Still Doesn't Know . The Oakland Raiders gave a large and rather disasterous press conference today. The original annoucement was that the Raiders had a "big announcement". But when the day of the original time for the presser came, the time was moved back from 11:30 am to 2:30 PM - then, when 2:30 PM came, the event didn't start until 35 minutes later. The original news was that MGM CEO Jim Murren and Madalay Bay President Chuck Bowling were to be featured, but they weren't there. So, the implication that a big, a really large annoucement, was to happen, did not. The Las Vegas Raiders officially arrived - but they didn't even tell the Oakland Coliseum JPA they were not activating their 2020 lease extension. I put in calls to check today, and the word was the same as last week: the Raiders haven't told them anything. Normally, if an NFL team's going to leave a stadium, don't you think the people who run the stadium they have a lease option with should know? Of course, they should know. Stay tuned.
