NFL Combine 2020: Rash Of Top Players Avoiding Workouts Make Pro Days The Event

NFL Combine 2020: Rash Of Top Players Avoiding Workouts Make Pro Days The Event - Video

NFL Combine 2020: Rash Of Top Players Avoiding Workouts Make Pro Days The Event Top players like LSUā€™s Joe Burrow and Alabamaā€™s Tua Tagovialoa are avoiding throwing the ball or just plain working out at this yearā€™s NFL Combine 2020. The reason, simply, is that agents want to control the message about their players at a time where social media can quickly get out bad news about how a player performed. There are a giant number of examples of how a top quarterback under- performed at the NFL Combine, causing the agent to get the client ready for pro day. As the NFL Combine gets bigger, I think more and more agents will make player pro days a bigger event, even to the point of selling sponsorships. Can anyone imagine Cal and Stanford teaming up to host a big pro day? The schools could sell tickets to season ticket holders and have it on local television. Watch for that to happen in the very near future. Stay tuned.
