Lance Gross: Oakland Actor Is “Lincoln Cole” On Hawaii Five-O Tonight If you’re watching tonight’s episode of Hawaii Five-O on CBS, and wondering who “Lincoln Cole” is, he is veteran actor and Oakland-born Lance Gross. He was born in Oakland July 8th, 1981, before he and his parents moved to Las Vegas. The actor gained fame in the “Perrryverse” or movie and television world built by Tyler Perry. Mr. Gross played Calvin Payne on the sitcom “House of Payne”. Lance’s Hawaii Five-O role has some on social media writing that he should be the “black Steve McGarrett” - a nod to the show’s end after 10 years in its second life. Stay tuned.
