Hon Tracy, CA Mayor Nancy Young Interview On City Attorney Bijal Patel And Her CA Bar Scandal

Hon Tracy, CA Mayor Nancy Young Interview On City Attorney Bijal Patel And Her CA Bar Scandal It's my honor to present this livestream interview with The Honorable Tracy Mayor Nancy Young, Sunday at 2 PM PST. Nancy Diane Young was re-elected as Mayor in November 2022. Prior to being elected as Mayor in 2020, she served eight years as a Tracy City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tempore. That's a total of 10 years of experience as a high-ranking elected official in Tracy, California. Tracy itself is a one-hour-drive from Oakland via I-580. The City of Tracy is just smaller than Berkeley, with a population of 93,000. The crime rate is 20 percent below that for large cities in America. We will talk with Mayor Young about what is said to be a rash of racist thinking on the part of some fellow elected officials. As regular viewers of this channel know, racism is considered to be a mental illness. Big Problem With The Tracy City Attorney, Bijal Patel. Recently, Tracy Mayor Nancy Young had to cope with the actions of the Tracy City Attorney, Bijal Patel. Apparently due to just basic negligence, City Attorney Patel, once with the Oakland City Attorney's Office (I never met her) , allowed her license with the California Bar Association to laps, and cause her membership to be suspended. A big message was automatically placed on her page that was not unlike a scarlet letter. The State Bar reported that her license lapsed in July. ZENNIEREPORT.com reported that news first on August 2nd. Then, another visit to her California Bar Association web page revealed that her license to practice was reinstated. The State Bar language led this vlogger to believe that Bijal Patel had been fired, but the truth is she was still the City Attorney - she took time to remedy the problem of lack of updating her membership, got the license reactivated, and avoided a total catastrophe. Still, the fact that it happened is cause for concern. The timing for the City Attorney's giant error could not have been worse as she is accused of being anti-African American due to her opposition to the City celebrating Black History Month. Do important city issues take a a back seat to matters of race under City Attorney Patel's direction? I talk with Mayor Young about City Attorney Patel and other issues in her City of Tracy. Stay tuned.

Oakland Mayor's Race: LWV Forum Draws Oakland's Older Folks

Oakland Mayor's Race Forum first take. (Which means, there's going to be more of these posts on last night, because a lot was happening.) This just in: The Oakland Tribune's out of touch with Oakland. A number of attendees of the 450 estimated said they learned of the Oakland League Of Women Voters via "the newspaper." All of the people who made that statement were over 50 years old. Still, the forum, which attracted every candidate except Dr. Terrance Candell, was a success. The auditorium at 300 Lakeside Drive seats 380 people, so if you do the math, it was about 70 over capacity. The crowd was a happy mix of supporters of candidates and long-time observers of the Oakland political scene. The one complaint they had was there wasn't enough time to hear what the candidates were about. That wasn't because there were too many candidates, but due to the format. Either Oakland Tribune Editor Martin Reynolds or the League of Women Voter
