Mike Jacob Is New PMSA President After Battling Oakland A’s To Stop Howard Terminal Ballpark Congratulations to my friend Mike Jacob, who was named the new President of Pacific Merchant Shipping Association (PMSA) as of September 27, 2023. Mike Jacob was the lawyer for the PMSA, and successfully fought against the Oakland A’s effort to build Howard Terminal Ballpark. Not that this vlogger is happy about the outcome but that’s the end result. Not just from PMSA’s efforts but mostly because the City of Oakland slow- rolled work getting the Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District implemented so the promised subsidies for affordable housing, sea-level rise, and community benefits, could happen. At any rate PMSA issued this statement: Mike Jacob has been an integral part of PMSA since 2005, serving as Vice President and General Counsel. With an impressive educational background from the University of California at Berkeley, and Hastings Law School, his expertise and experience are unparalleled.
