The response to the news that Oakland Outgoing District Two Councilmember Nikki Bas is recommending now former Oakland At-Large Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan as the interim replacement is not sitting well with anyone in the public among those who have responded to date. That is if you consider just Nextdoor. That Nextdoor. reflects the middle aged to elderly most-likely voter is not in dispute. So, it's fair to say the Oakland Electorate would rise up against such an action, but how? Whatever the response there, the bottom line is Kaplan has managed to gin up a large wave of ill-will against her. In this livestream we explore the reasons why.

Cal Women's Rowing Team member Jill Costello passed away from complications due to lung cancer on June 24th 2010 and at the age of 21. A San Francisco event and run called Jog For Jill has been established and will be held this Sunday, September 12th at 5 PM.
