Loren Taylor Hints At Run Against Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee In Rematch Election Should He Do It? Ayad Booney from the Locked on A's podcast and former Oakland Council member Loren Taylor joined me, Zennie62Media CEO Zennie Abraham, for a lively talk about the State of Oakland. Since Loren talked as if he still had campaign fire-in-the-belly, I asked him if he would jump in an run against Mayor Lee in the November 2026 Oakland Mayoral Election? Councilmember Taylor said he would run against Barbara Lee under "the right circumstances". He also said that there's a coalition of Oaklanders out there still active who put him near 50 percent of the electorate twice. Should he do it a third time? Personally, I think so.
