How The NFL Almost Built Coliseum City For The Oakland Raiders But Las Vegas Sands Made A Move

How The NFL Almost Built Coliseum City For The Oakland Raiders But Las Vegas Sands Made A Move In May of 2015, the Oakland Raiders hosted a meeting at their Alameda Headquarters (where the Oakland Roots live now) that featured Raiders Owner Mark Davis, Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley, then-Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, then-Raiders President Mark Badain, and NFL Business SVP And Stadium Point Person Eric Grubman. That meeting was pivotal because an artist rendition of a stadium for the Raiders at the Oakland Coliseum was shown. I later found that image online in the middle of one of my Raiders livestream shows and called the architect who created it, Dan Meis. Mr. Meis was nice enough to tell me that he could not reveal who his client was for the project. Having worked with the Raiders a number of times in the past - especially with the late Al LoCasale, the Raiders famed executive assistant and famed right-hand-man to Al Davis - I was aware of how the Raiders liked to work in-secret and behind the scenes. I was correct. What ultimately happened was that from that point and all the way up to the week before the March 27th, 2017 NFL Owners Meeting vote that would send the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell tried to secure a deal via Eric Grubman's representation for the League to buy all of the Coliseum land - the same amount that stands to be owned by the Oakland Aquisition Company aka African American Sports and Entertainment Group Today. In this livestream Zennie will fill in the blanks of what happened, and what is Oakland's future and Las Vegas future. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up?
